Duncan is an accomplished and results-focused health care and consulting executive with demonstrated success in delivering innovative solutions that help to transform health care delivery systems.  He is recognized as a passionate and visionary leader with a strong record in building high-performing teams and exceeding P&L goals during a career spanning more than 30 years.  Duncan holds an MBA from Yale University and Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering and Psychology from Stanford University.

Duncan has held leadership positions with Dignity Health, Blue Shield of California, and Deloitte Consulting.  His record of accomplishments includes market-leading payer and employer direct strategies along with an innovative risk-sharing reinsurance model for Dignity Health.  With Blue Shield Duncan was responsible for building innovative provider network solutions including narrow networks, custom analytics, and pay for performance solutions, and also leading the turnaround of specialty benefit functions including sales, product development, vendor management, pricing and P&L management. 

At his core Duncan most loves to leverage data to develop strategic insights and competitive advantage and building and coaching teams to execute innovative solutions.

Outside of work Duncan’s passions include spending time with his family, particularly outdoors – hiking, biking, swimming, playing tennis, kayaking and coaching soccer.
